By starting your day with Jesus, I don’t just mean reading the Bible, and writing on your devo. It could be anything like listening to worship songs, taking a walk, praying, or sitting on a comfortable chair in your porch, watching the sunrise and the great blue sky. In any way, we can remind ourselves that Jesus is with us, that He is faithful, and He has good plans for this day. Everyday is a gift, a blessing. It’s never ordinary, because Jesus will make that day special for you.
This vacation, I learned that being conscious of Jesus’ presence within me, and basking on it on the wee hours of the day puts everything into perspective. All my worries are washed away, being replaced by inexplicable joy and excitement. And… there’s no pressure when you’re in Jesus’ presence. There are times that He just leads me to prayer or singing or just listening to Him. It’s just like spending time with your best friend. You can do anything with Him, and still be blessed during and after it.
So yes, I encourage you to spend time with Jesus, beloved. To put it into better terms, bask in His presence and love in your life the moment you wake up. He is faithful and eager to meet with you and to encourage you, beloved. He will fill you up with His love and revelations of His grace and goodness and favor.
